I wrote Untitled in May; it was written from sleepless nights of processing what happened, rather what has happened time and time again. However, this moment was during a pandemic with the repetition of “uncertainty.” However, what is certain is that we will all carry this moment with us—news replays, social media pages of black boxes, hashtags, and names so many names. So many discussions of various perspectives—of division and broken hearts; and within there was a poem burning inside of me, so I wrote it and then I recorded. You know when you record something, and it ends, and the title is untitled, well as I recorded this, that’s happened, and I didn’t change it. I tried different titles, but it always comes back to this.
There’s always ways to give back, and be apart of of rebuilding and supporting our communities.
